BAFTA award - best sound editing. 1987 - I worked myself into the ground doing the sound editing whilst completing the fine cut and ended up sleepwalking from exhaustion. Spud Murphy recorded some brilliant location sounds and Tony Anscombe mixed the tracks with his usual sensitivity but I felt the role of Dubbing Editor had been
ignored - 40% of the sound effects were created by myself in a dubbing theatre. So I
complained to BAFTA, they agreed an injustice had been made, and from that time on the best Sound Category includes the Dubbing Mixer, Sound Recordist and the Dubbing Editors.
